This large focal bead is the result of testing different base colours and silver enhanced glass types. Designed using the tornado technique, pretty ribbons of opalescent pink make this a truly one-of-a-kind bead. Unfortunately, the bead's beauty is difficult to capture through photography. It really is a must see!
It measures approximately 36mm from hole to hole, 36mm wide and 18mm thk and was created on a 3/32" diameter mandrel.
Beads this size make fabulous necklaces. I also like to mount these on wine bottle stopper hardware and give them as gifts.
All of my glass beads have been carefully annealed in my digitally controlled kiln to ensure strength and durability.
