Lampworking is an incredibly fascinating art form that combines fire and melting glass. The final outcome is always one-of-a-kind and stunning.
In my lessons, we'll start with the basics like safety and setting up your workspace. Then, we'll move onto learning the techniques of shaping and forming glass. It might take a little practice, but I promise it's a lot of fun!
You will be using soft glass and an oxygen and propane fueled torch. My studio is set up for one-on-one lessons only but that means you will have 3 or 4 hours of my undivided attention.
As you get more comfortable with the basics, we'll move onto more advanced techniques like colour mixing and surface decoration. Before you know it, you'll be creating your own custom glass beads like a pro.

No experience necessary. All materials are included.
Annealed beads will be available the following day. Beads that don't go into the annealer will be available same day or once they are cool enough to remove from the mandrel.
All lessons are 1-on-1 and are currently only available on weekends.
Lessons are limited to local residents but if you're going to be in town and want to take a lesson, contact me to see what is available.
