Where Inspiration Lives
There’s something about July that slows everything down, in the best way. It arrives with long light and quiet edges, and when the weekend comes, I slip into the studio like a deep breath.
All week, the ideas gather in the background: colour flashes on a morning walk, textures from a boat trip to the Gulf Islands, the way sunlight glints off metal in the manufacturing plant where I spend my weekdays. When the weekend finally arrives, I follow the thread.
This season, I’m drawn to coastal calm, sea-glass greens, misty greys, soft aquas, and sandy hues that feel like the hush of waves or a sky just before dusk. It’s not a rush to produce, it’s a slow exhale. A colour-led conversation between inspiration and glass.
I’ve gathered some of what’s been fueling that spark below, my version of a summer moodboard. It’s part boat day, part studio desk, part daydream. Maybe it inspires something in you, too.
What colors are calling to you this season? I’d love to hear what’s inspiring you.
